Police Report: A 27-year-old woman who weighed at 20 Kilograms was starved to death by her mother-in-law and husband for Dowry.
The police said that her husband and her mother-in-law only gave her soaked rice and sugar syrup, she passed away last week.
The police have arrested her mother-in-law and her husband.
A police officer said, “She looked like a bag of bones. A detailed inquiry has thrown light on the cruelty she was subjected to. Her relatives alleged that she was tortured for dowry.”
The mother of the 27-year-old said that she was tortured for the past 5 years and was not allowed to meet her family members.
Her mother said, “We did not file any police complaint as we feared it would put her life in danger.”
The police said that the husband of the 27-year-old woman used to do strange things. They were married in 2013, when they got married, the family of the woman gave gold and money to her husband as part of their Dowry and promised that they will give more.
The 27-year-old woman had 2 kids.
