KSET Application Form 2018: Apply Online @ kset.uni-mysore.ac.in

Karnataka State Eligibility Test is scheduled to be conducted on 16th December. The University of Mysore conducts KSET for lectureship/ Assistant Professor. KSET 2018 would be organised for 39 subjects at eleven nodal centres spread across the state. Official notification for the 2018 examination was published by the university on 21st August. The KSET application form 2018 submission procedure was commenced on 23rd August and applicants have to submit their online applications until 22nd September.

Online applications can be submitted using the website kset.uni-mysore.ac.in. Before applying online, the candidate must possess a scanned passport size photograph. First of all, applicants need to sign up for registration by entering the required email address and password. Candidates should remember these credentials as they would be able to log in to the account using these details only. After that, applicants have to mention their personal educational and KSET exam details.

Examination Fee:

  • For General category candidates: Rs. 1050/-,
  • For Cat-IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB: Rs. 850/- and
  • Cat-I, SC, ST, PwD: Rs. 550/-.
  • Candidates who would submit the online applications after the last date till the extended duration need to pay Rs. 150/- as late fee.
  • The fee can be paid using the All banks internet banking, debit card, credit card, State bank Buddy e-wallet payment and cash payment. Under cash payment option, a challan will be generated and payment can be made at all the branches of State Bank of India.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualifications: candidate must have passed master’s degree or equivalent examination from institutions/ universities recognised by the UGC with at least 55 per cent marks for general category and 50 per cent marks for the candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ PwD (Persons with Disability), OBCs [Cat-I, IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB].
  • There is no upper age limit to apply for KSET 2018.

Exam Pattern: The examination consisting of two papers. Paper 1 would comprise of 50 multiple choice questions and each question carries two marks. It will be of one hour duration (from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM). The Paper two consists of 100 multiple choice questions and each question carry two marks. Two hours would be given to candidates to finish their test.
