A Los Angeles Police Department Officer was caught fondling with a dead woman’s breast on his body cam.

The veteran officer, whose name was not shared with the public, has been removed from the department after the incident came to light.

The LAPD was reportedly assigned to the Central Division of the Los Angeles’ Division when he and his partnered responded to call about a possible dead woman at a residence.

The police officer and his partner determined the woman was dead, but when the partner left the veteran police officer turned off his body camera.

The camera caught the officer fondling with the woman’s breasts moments before the officer turned the camera back on because the body-cams have 2 minute buffering periods to capture what happens right before they are activated.

The footage was found during a random inspection of the officer’s body camera.

It is still not clear when the incident happened or when the video was found by the Los-Angeles Police Department.

The Los Angeles Police Department started field-testing body cameras in 2014, and since then they deployed more than 7,000 of them.

Last month, the Los Angeles Police Department reached an agreement with the Los Angeles Police Protective League, the union for officers, to randomly review camera recordings even when they do not capture arrests or use force.

The Protective League said that the veteran officer has no place in law enforcement after his behavior with the corpse of the woman.

The statement that the LAPD released stated, “If this allegation is true, then the behavior exhibited by this officer is not only wrong, but extremely disturbing, and does not align with the values we, as police officers, hold dear and these values include respect and reverence for the deceased.”

The police union has publicly apologized to the family of the deceased woman.

The identity of the woman has not been released to the public.
