Ever since a biopic on braveheart Neerja Bhanot was announced, all eyes have been on this soon-to-be-released film. While Sonam Kapoor’s Neerja movie is days away from release, the film’s producer, Fox Star India released a new sound clip which has Neerja making the flight announcement reportedly on board the ill-fated PanAm Flight 73 on 5 September 1986. Neerja was the first civilian to be awarded Ashok Chakra, India’s highest peacetime gallantry award.
The voice you’ll hear in this video uploaded is the real voice of Neerja Bhanot, while she made her last flight announcement before her flight to Karachi took off.

This is Neerja Bhanot’s last recorded voice. She was dead a few hours later after saving the lives of 359 passengers from four Abu Nidal terrorists who hijacked the flight. She was 22.
Directed by Ram Madhvani, the movie is slated for a February 19 release. The film, which stars Shabana Azmi and Shekhar Ravijiani in pivotal roles.
