Forests are the only places that give shelter, food and life for animals. If we people cut down those forests, surely the animals come out of forests for protection and shelter. In this regard, we are seeing many wild animals coming into the cities and villages for food, shelter.
In a recent incident, a 3-year-old female leopard has come out of the forest and fell into a 60-foot well in Junnar village near Pune, Maharashtra. The incident took place on Sunday. A farmer heard roars from the deep well which is close to his house.
When he went near to the well, he saw the leopard inside. He saw the leopard was seen struggling to stay afloat. He soon called Wildlife SOS at the Manikdoh Leopard Rescue Centre.

A three-member team led by veterinarian and 6-forest department officers rushed to the spot where they rescued the leopard. After almost three hours of the rescue operation, the leopard was successfully lifted and examined. Later, the officers left it back into the forests.
