Every Indian has celebrated Diwali yesterday. The festival of lights, colors and new beginnings, renowned as India’s one of the most important festival, it certainly is the prominent one when it comes to Hindus. Crackers, food, family gatherings, what not? everything sums up the sheer glare of happiness in the whole week or at least the around days.
But, one must accept that with the entry of BJP in both Center, the leniency that was earlier given to the Hindu festivals has stretched far more than it should. With the advent of Yogi Adityanath in Uttar Pradesh as the Chief Minister, the whole scene almost changed. There is an utmost saffronism prevailing throughout the state.
Spending a minimum amount from government funds to celebrate the National festivals is always there. But, now as Diwali has come for the first time ever in the reign of Yogi Adityanath, this Chief Minister went crossing all the limits to showcase the grandeur of the festival.
Starting from setting up a helicopter in which actors dressed as Lord Rama, Sita, and Laxman and were welcomed at the helipad spot by all the higher officials. Many quoted this activity of Yogi as a dramatic and unnecessary one. On the other hand, the widespread arrangements of Diyas throughout the Ayodhya has just raised some serious concerns. The govt has spent some innumerable crores of rupees to show off it at its best.
For all that day everything was pretty fine. But, what all that matters in a long run are what’s wrong with this? Why govt is spending so much of money in celebrating a festival rather than taking care of its people. While people in Uttar Pradesh are being chased by poverty, malnutrition and improper education, such deeds will be deliberately considered as unnecessary and the below pictures in which local kids and women are seen collecting the oils from diyas is the absolute proof.

and further pictures were shared on other media sources which are going viral on the Internet.
These pictures are collected from the media houses, in this, it is written that the people are collecting the leftover-oil in the diyas for cooking purposes. This is definitely sad and Yogi’s government should start prioritizing issues rather than by default making it to celebrations.
