Watch: Man Assaulted Two Women For Sheltering Puppies

A 43-year-old assaulted two women for bringing puppies inside their housing society at Kothrud. The incident took place at a housing society in suburban Kothrud. According to Kale, the puppies would have been a source of nuisance for the residents.

Sejal Saraf and her mother Sonali had adopted two puppies from the street and offered them food. As the Sarafs refused to leave the puppies out on the street, Kale allegedly assaulted them. Both the mother and the daughter were injured and the incident was captured on a nearby CCTV camera.

According to the police, a stray female dog in the area gave birth to four puppies and died a few days later. CCTV footage of the incident in which the accused is seen hitting the two women with a shoe went viral on social media. The man has been arrested on charges of physical assault and molestation.

The accused is the IAS’s officer’s (Ann Kapthuama Kale) husband. Ann fully purported her husband’s reaction and quipped that he did the right thing. I think it is hard to accept the mistake of the beloved husband.

“The complainant, who is an animal lover, started taking care of four puppies. Yesterday (Sunday) Kale who lived in the same society, called up the municipal authorities and asked them to take away the puppies,” said inspector Radhika Phadake of Kothrud police station.
