The man cut the limbs of the teenager who raped his 7-month-old daughter. The man was reported to have left rapist bleeding near a canal close to the Jhumba village in Bhatinda.
Both the father and rapist hailed from Muktsa’s Kotli Ablu village. The case was scheduled for hearing at the Rama Mandi village courts. According to a report, after the hearing, the father reportedly settled for a compromise and offered to drop the accused home on his motorbike.
The incident happened during the ride back to the village together, when the man stopped near the canal and tied the teenager to a tree. He then proceeded to hack both his hands off, said the police. “A few villagers heard the juvenile’s cries and ran towards the canal. They found the victim bleeding profusely and the father had fled by then,” said SSP Bathinda Swapan Sharma.
