Andrew Nipper, the man, fatally stabbed a dog 11 times in a revenge attack before dumping its remains of the dog on the doorstep of the owner.
The man has been jailed.
Nipper later messaged the woman on Snapchat that it sounded like she was having a “ruff” day.
The owner of the dog responded to a knock at her door and found her pet’s remains in a bin bag.
The remains of the dog were left on her doorstep.
After he was found guilty of felony animal abuse, stealing the creature, and first-degree stalking, Nipper was handed a sentence of 9 years.
The owner of the dog told the investigating officers that her friend and Nipper used to date.
The owner of the dog said that she believes the incident was a result of her calling the police after Nipper stalked her friend.
The victim said Nipper also tried to strike her with his vehicle.
