With the days passing, we’re only going worse in terms of moral values. These days one cannot pass a day or turn a news paper’s page without acknowledging a molestation or rape incident. After all, a surprising growth is observed in the number of assault cases recently. Despite the strong amendments and stud transformations, authorities are simply unable to tackle the issue persistently.
Though there are certain incidents in which women take the adverse advantage of the leniency of laws that are bluntly against men, there are no unconventional possibilities in the majority of situations. Starting from the assault case that shocked everyone which has happened in Kerala’s Kozhikode, a teen was beaten up in Mumbai’s streets. Now, after all, another saddening incident has taken place in Kolkata’s public bus.
Coming to the story, while two young girls were traveling by bus and a man started masturbating at them. Though the bus was crowded with people, no one came to their rescue.
One of the two girls recorded a video and uploaded it Facebook with a caption, that reads; “I and my friend were coming back home from Hedua by the 30B/1 bus. Suddenly we saw this man in such an unpleasant condition. He was staring at us, making these offensive gestures but no one protested against it. At last, we called out to the bus conductor, he smiled and said,” What can I do? How can I know what’s going on someone’s mind.”
I shouted inside the bus saying,”take a grip of him, he is making offensive gestures at us.” But no one really bothered to protest. The same incident happened 15 days ago as well. I was scared to protest and preferred to keep mum that day, but today I protest. I want justice.
The previous time he was masturbating taking his pants off, as I didn’t have any proof that time, I couldn’t take any stand.

However, this is new low ever happen, we wonder how can a person be this desperate. Back then we saw people get violent on seeing young people hugging each other in the metro, but they are absolutely alright with this unethical sight.
Double standards huh?
Soon after this incident gained enough attention on social media, cops arrested the man and posted the same on their facebook handle.
The man, a hawker by profession, was arrested from Shyampukur police station area in the city, police said.
