Mind Blowing Offer To Reliance JIO Customers, Extends Free Voice & Data Offer Till March 2017

Going by the amazing response to its recently launched 4G services, Reliance Jio may further extend its popular free Welcome Offer. Yes, JIO is planning to give a mind-blowing offer to it’s customers.

According to the analyst, Reliance Jio may extend the popular Jio Welcome Offer to 2017 to reach the 100 million subscriber target it has set. Mukesh Ambani had revealed that all Jio services including voice and data would be free to all its users until December 31, 2016. However, the analyst suggests that the operator may extend the offer until March 2017.

Reliance Jio Offer To Extend Until March 2017:

“Mass scale-free welcome offer could continue until March 2017 to attract subscriber growth towards the celebrated 100 million mark with RJio’s indicative data pricing at Rs. 130-140 per gigabyte (GB),” Motilal Oswal analysts in a note said.

TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) however recently said that any telecom operator cannot offer a promotional offer for more than 90 days as per Telecommunication Tariff Order (2004) and hence Jio could not offer freebies after 3 December.

Jio’s head of strategy and planning Anshuman Thakur Thursday said that Jio would not need permission from the telecom regulator Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) to extend free services beyond December. Reliance Jio too has hinted that if the company can’t deliver the kind of service it promises to its customers it may be unfair on its part to charge the customer.

However, during this extended period of time (after December 31), 4G data is expected to come with prices lying between Rs 130 and Rs 140 per GB of 4G-LTE data.
