“M.S Dhoni: The Untold Story” has opened to a fantastic response at the Box Office, thanks to its amazing screenplay and superb storyline.
There were many untold stories of MS Dhoni’s life that were covered in the biopic starring Sushant Singh Rajput, making it all the more exciting to watch.
Moreover, it also sheds light on each and every important aspect of his life; his childhood, his family life, his job as a ticket collector, his love life and above all, his cricketing journey.
One of those was his first ODI innings when he was run-out for a duck and the scene was unsurprisingly in the movie. The player on his opposite side was Mohammad Kaif, who has been blamed for this run-out, in this biopic.
According to the scene in the movie, Dhoni gets run-out off his 1st ball and walks off. Now, his friend (who is watching this match on TV) blames Kaif, saying that he is responsible for Dhoni’s run-out. He said that it was Kaif who first called him to take a run and then changed his mind, and asked him to go back.
There is no controversy as such, but his friend just passes one random dialogue in the flick i.e. “Kaif ka galti tha”. However, Kaif has disapproved this false claim and has also justified himself with a tweet! He says “Nahi Bhai, mera galti nahi tha”. Have a look at his tweet…

Everyone was expecting a big total in Dhoni’s 1st ODI match, but unfortunately, he got out at the very first ball; Kaif on the other hand, managed to score 80, bringing the total to 245/8 and making the team win by 11 runs. Want to watch that clip of Dhoni’s first ball run-out?
