Mumbai College Principal Demands Girls To ‘Dress Like An Indian Women’ & Twitter Has Some Befitting Replies For That

After going through some rigorous social reforms in order to unwrap the woman from getting lost under the orthodox norms, a notable progress is seen especially in urban parts of the country.

From becoming the government servants to bringing pride to the country in the prestigious Olympics, women are now nothing less than men. Despite all these priceless achievements, there are certain people who undermine the strength of women and push them further deep into the narrow-minded old school ideology.

Here is such an incident in Mumbai, being the most popular city for freedom and liberty it is quite sad to notice such understatements made by a college principal on his girl students.

Coming to the details, the staff of the Government Polytechnic College in Bandra, Mumbai, decided to limit the freedom of the students by imposing certain rules to maintain the peace between its students, after noticing the number of the sexual harassment incidents in the college, the board decided to give up on the existing rules.

They went through certain modifications and the crucial changes include putting up a ‘girl only’ section in the college canteen. In addition, Swati Deshpande the principal said that she wanted girls to wear salwar kameez as uniform, instead of the white shirt and black trousers they usually wore.

The Principal addressed the media regarding the issue, she said:

“When they dress like men, they start thinking or behaving like them. There is a gender role reversal in their head, this also leads to diseases like Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOD) in women”.

These kinds of rules were imposed earlier too, in a popular college like VIT, the hostel board told its students to “dress Indian for your own safety”
