A ray of good hope for the students of the Andhra Pradesh has been showered by the Andhra Pradesh Education Minister Ganta Srinivas Rao. On Friday Sri Ganta Srinivas Rao proclaimed that the admissions to the engineering courses in being made complicated by the Telangana Government and its baseless policies.
The state of ire was raised among the studenst who belonged and were from the Andhra Pradesh region after the Telangana Governments stand on Scholarship and admission into professional engineering and medicine courses. Telangana government had declared that they are not going to give priority for the Andhra Pradesh students and non-native students of Telangana regarding admission in to engineering and medicine streams in their institutions. In addition to this they will not be granted scholarship and other beneficiaries as they are non-natives of Telangana.
He questioned that was the Telangana Rastra Samithi wasn’t aware of the Telangana amendment bill passed which constituted the common capital as Hyderabad and free education capital for almost ten years. A delegation of all party leaders from Andhra Pradesh met Union Home Minister Sri Rajnath Singh charging the TRS government with insisting on a ‘baseless’ nativity clause for Andhra students studying in Telangana for reimbursing fee urged him to ’empower’ the governor so that he can intervene and ensure that the Eamcet counselling is held at the earliest.
The Delegation of Legislature conveyed to the union government that Telangana government’s insistence on 1956 as the cut-off year to decide the nativity of Andhra parents settled in Telangana so that the ward could be eligible for the fee reimbursement was against the AP Reorganization Act and unconstitutional and to safe guard therights of local people in employment and education the issue of nativity on the basis of Article 371-D created after the agitation in united Andhra Pradesh in the fifties.
Minister of Education at Andhra Pradesh government Mr.Ganta Srinivas Rao has made an attempt assure and to build moral support in the students of Andhra Pradesh stating that they are planning to initiate a process which facilitates the students to get admission into professional courses like engineering without consideration of EAMCET ranks. Minister of Education of Andhra Pradesh Mr. Ganta Srinivas Rao disclosed that he had sent their group of ministers and educationist to Tamil Nadu to survey and gather details regarding admissions.
