No more Chase Scenes in films after too many Real Life Accidents

Are you a fan of the action and chase sequences in Telugu films, Here is some bad news for you The Telangana government may ban all chase scenes involving motorcycles, cars and speedboats in films.

According to this Telegraph report, a notification was issued to Film Chambers of Commerce and associations of producers, directors and actors to censor all such scenes involving chasing motorcycles, cars and speedboats. The Report states “all scenes of chase involving motorbikes, cars and speedboats would be censored.”All such stunts are leading to deaths of innocent youth(s)…,”

This decision comes after the death of many youngsters who have tried to imitate these speed racing stunts in real life. One of the biggest accidents involving bikes, was the death of cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin’s son, whose bike skidded and crashed on a Hyderabad expressway in 2011.

According to this, the UP transport department in June imposed this order given the large number of accidents and deaths due to road mishaps. The order was imposed immediately and district magistrates had been asked to monitor content being shown in homes via cable operators.
