Veteran actor Om Puri has passed away after a massive heart attack early on Friday morning. The actor was 66. The actor, best known for films like Ardh Satya and Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, is survived by his estranged wife Nandita Puri and son Ishaan Puri.
Om Puri’s body is at his residence in Andheri and his old friends and colleagues from Bollywood have arrived to pay their last respects. Puri’s body was taken to Cooper hospital for postmortem, following which the funeral will take place. Here are some celebrity tweets mourning the death of Om Puri.

He was awarded Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award of India. His most popular movies were Hera Pheri, Don 2, Delhi – 6, OMG – Oh my God!, Kurbaan, Dabangg. In 1999, Puri acted in a Kannada movie A.K. 47 as a strict police officer which became a big hit. Om Puri’s last movie was a Pakistani film ‘Actor-in-law’.
