In his recent visit to United States of America, the Pakistan Prime Minister Shahid Abbasi had to face major embarrassment situation when the security at New York’s airport had asked the him to remove clothes for a security checkup.
The Pakistan media called the demand as a ‘major embarrassment’.
The security check up was conducted at the JFK airport when the Prime Minister landed.
A video footage of the incident was aired on the Pakistani television channels and the same went viral over the social media. In the video, the Prime Minister can be seen walking out of the security check, as any ordinary passenger may do such. He was carrying a bag and coat.

As per the news reports by Geo News, the Pakistani Prime Minister was on a private visit to United States last week. Another reason for his visit was to meet his sister residing there. At the airport, he was asked to follow standard protocol that is done for all the passengers.
During the said visit, the Pakistan Prime Minister had reportedly met Vice-President Mike Pence too. United States of America had in the most recent months demanded the removal of terrorism from its soil completely.
But the Prime Minister was criticized by the media for agreeing to go through the procedure which can be termed to be humiliating process for the head of a nation despite having a diplomatic passport.
Netizens too reacted on the issue over social media.
Earlier to that, US government ruled by Donald Trump had taken some serious steps against Pakistan which included visa bans. And this time there was restriction for the Prime Minister himself.
The US want to convey the message that rules are common for any person who wants to visit this land.
In January this year, United States stop its aid to Pakistan over unable to stop terrorism on its soil. The US insisted that Pakistan needs to do more. As the pressure grew, Pakistan took few steps to control, but was just to showcase that it was doing what it has been asked about.
US is already failing a war in Afghanistan after struggling for more than 17 years against Taliban. Many news edits suggested that Taliban is winning the war against United States. With many strongholds, Taliban seems to easily gain control in many areas. And it takes help from militants in bordering Pakistan. Many groups from Pakistan support Afghanistan in many ways. That’s the strong reason United States is worried about. It thinks that Pakistan is acting as a funnel for all funds it gives to it, goes indirectly to help militants.
