Paytm to Kick Off Online Mega Sales on November 3, 2015
After the mega sale of India’s leading e-commerce online retailers such as Flipkart, Snapdeal and Amazon, Paytm is about to commemorate the festive season offering great deals and discounts for its users across the nation. This embarks the entry of a new challenge for the existing e-commerce web portals.
Sources add that Paytm is about to ascend with discounts up to 80% and double cashback on all products. It is being estimated that Paytm would be generating a significant percentage of the Rs 1,000 crore directed for the entire festive season. Paytms ‘s focus is now on the tier-2 and tier-3 cities after reserving its Rs 100 crore investments on commercializing during Festive season till the Christmas. Paytm has engaged with the vast networked local delivery companies such as Delhivery and BlueDart since past to deliver its goods and products ordered by the users at the earliest.
The vice president for business at Paytm, Saurabh Vashishtha said, “We’re expecting sales of Rs 1,000 crore from the entire festive season. A significant portion, around 25-30%, of sales from the festive season, should come from the three days.” During the preliminary presumptions it is was found that there are a major demand mobile phones and apparels. The top chart is followed on by the large appliances and home decor in the assort of top selling products. Research studies carried out on the Flipkart’s Big Billion Day sale have revealed that from the smart mobile phones alone a business of $200 million was served to the e-commerce giant.
Saurabh Vashishtha said, “We’re expecting the gifts and sweets category to see more transactions, as we saw the trend pick up during Eid.” What makes Paytm mega sale a unique from the earlier happened open sales is that it would match the discount offered by the seller efficaciously doubling it, on all products as a part of cashback for the users. It is also being expected that depending upon the response of the customers and users Paytm may extend this ‘$ for $’ cashback beyond the mega three sale days.
