The suicide attack at the Brussels Zaventem airport, which has killed at least 34 people until now, and an explosion at a busy metro station in the city will place the idea of a borderless Europe under further stress.

Explosions tore through the departure hall of Brussels airport and struck a metro station on Tuesday morning killing up to 21 people and injuring several others, local reports said.
