The blasts at the airport and metro station occurred four days after the arrest in Brussels of a suspected participant in November militant attacks in Paris. The suicide attack at the Brussels Zaventem airport, which has killed at least 34 people until now, and an explosion at a busy metro station in the city will place the idea of a borderless Europe under further stress.
