Police Constable in Rajasthan arrested by the ACB for demanding bribe of Rs. 5000
The anti-corruption-bureau arrested head police constable Bala Ram on Thursday for demanding a bribe of Rs. 5000.
The official statement that was released by the ACB stated that Head Constable Bala Ram was assigned to work in the Merta Road Police Station in Nagaur, Rajasthan.
The statement added that Constable Bala Ram asked for Rs. 5000 as a bribe from Ramkishore so he could submit a “favorable” report in a case that was lodged against him and his companions.
Constable Bala Ram was arrested outside a vote counting center in Nagaur during duty.
Head Constable Bala Ram was arrested under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
