The dead body of a missing NRI woman from Australia was found in the Bhakra Canal at Ferozepur, Punjab. The police said that the husband of the NRI woman planned her murder.
The body of Ravneet Kaur was pulled out from Bhakra Canal on Monday, which is 11 days after she went missing from Bagge Ke Pippal Villae in Ferozepur, she arrived there on March 3 with her 4-year-old daughter.
Sandeep Goyal, the Superintendent of Ferozepur Police said, “The woman’s husband was having an extra-marital affair. The husband and the woman, he loved, are the key suspects in the murder.”
On March 14, Ravneet Kaur, the NRI woman who was murdered, came to visit her parents’ home in a village that is located in Ferozepur. Officials said that she was last seen when she was having a video call with Jaspreet, her husband.
The brother of Ravneet said that she went outside while she was having the video call with Jaspreet and got kidnapped.
The police said that the husband of Ravneet was having an affair with Kiranjeet Kaur, a married woman who came to Punjab to kill Ravneet, officials said that the sister of Kiranjeet and one other relative helped her kill Ravneet.
A case has been lodged against Kiranjeet Kaur, Jaspreet Singh, Tiranjeet Kaur the Sister of Kiranjeet, and Sandeep Singh the relative who helped them kill Ravneet.
The police said that Tiranjeet Kaur and Sandeep Singh have been arrested and a probe has started for the case.
The police added that they are currently in touch with the Australian authorities who have started the deportation process of Kiranjeet Kaur and Jaspreet.
