Kings XI Punjab batsman KL Rahul celebrated his birthday on April 18 alongside his teammates and coaching staff.. The Karnataka batsman turned 26 on Thursday. He has been a very good IPL 2018 so far scoring 158 runs in 4 innings so far. This includes the fastest-ever IPL half century in just 14 balls.
He also played some scintillating cricketing shots like the one where he flicked Chris Woakes for a humongous six in Bangalore.
Punjab players celebrated Rahul’s birthday on Thursday with style. His birthday celebrations though were completely hilarious and with the likes of Chris Gayle and Yuvraj Singh around, it is bound to be entertaining.
The birthday boy was surprised by a very special cake on the day- in form of his opening partner Chris Gayle. The West Indies batsman presented himself as the cake. It was Gayle who was having the most fun, basking in all the attention he was getting.
But there was another special person who made his birthday more special.
It is none other than Kings XI Punjab owner Preity Zinta. Preity wished him all the happiness and success. She posted a pic of her with KL Rahul.

Talking about the team,Ravichandran Ashwin is leading the team quite well as they started IPL 2018 with a bang by winning 3 matches out of 4. Latest win was against strong Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Kings XI Punjab will next play Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens on 21st April. Both teams come into this match riding on superlative performances in their respective previous matches. KKR took the confidence of a resounding win against the Delhi Daredevils at home when they travelled to Jaipur and humbled the Rajasthan Royals in their fortress. KXIP too have the confidence of consecutive wins behind them; first, they defeated the Chennai Super Kings by a narrow margin of 4 runs, and most recently handed Sunrisers Hyderabad their first defeat of the season.
