After attending a baseball game in Cuba on Tuesday, President Barack Obama flew to Argentina for the first time with hopes of strengthening relations between the United States and Latin America. At a state dinner on Wednesday night at Buenos Aires’s Centro Cultural Kirchner, Mr Obama reluctantly tried out the sultry dance with a professional dancer.
The president was dragged onto the dance floor to try his hand at a different country’s national pastime tango. Tango is not only a difficult dance to master, it’s damn tough to even pass as a competent participant.
First, Lady Michelle Obama was also coaxed onto the dance floor, with another dancing pro. But at least, he never backs down from a chance to dance. After initially refusing the invitation, the president was surprisingly adept at mimicking steps.
This is not the first time President dancing, we had seen him dancing in Kenya last year, at the 2014 Christmas tree lighting, at Ellen, in middle school in Alaska and in Diwali celebrations in India.
