Rahul Gandhi’s Name Proposed To Guinness Book Of World Records For A Weird Reason

At a time when Rahul Gandhi is trying hard to revive his party’s fortunes after back-to-back electoral setbacks, an engineering student from Madhya Pradesh has now proposed the name of Congress vice president in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Yes, you read it correct. Rahul’s name is proposed for Guinness Book of World Records, but for a weird reason. The student proposed his name for losing the maximum number of elections in the country. Sounds funny right?

According to the reports, Vishal Diwan an engineering student from Hoshangabad has written to the administration of Guinness Books of World Records to enlist Rahul Gandhi’s name for losing as many as 27 elections in the country. Diwan has also paid the enrollment fees for the same.

The surprising thing is Diwan has received a confirmation of acceptance for his application, it is still unclear as to whether the US-based organization will consider or approve his request.

Confirmation Of Acceptance:

The proposal came soon after Gandhi lost four of the five assembly elections held in five states. After the Congress’ monumental defeat in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Goa Assembly Elections 2017, some of the senior party members questioned his ability and called for structural changes in the party.

Rahul Gandhi often becomes the butt of jokes on social media for his statements and lack of political knowledge. Recently, Rahul was massively trolled on social media when he forgot the total number of seats in Uttar Pradesh Assembly at a joint press conference with Akhilesh Yadav.
