The most awaited senior Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao’s biopic has garnered the concentration of nationalized media ever since it went soon on to the floors. Initially, it was the vivid exit of noted Tollywood director Teja, that caught the attention of the media, followed by speculations about Bollywood starlet Vidya Balan playing the female lead in the movie. Then later, Hema Malini signing to play the role of Indira Gandhi in the biopic.
But, the latest buzzing news is that noted Tollywood star, Rana Daggubati may be part of this striving film. The Baahubali actor has been approached by Balakrishna to play the role of Andhra Pradesh’s CM N Chandrababu Naidu in the movie, added reports. The actor is in talks with the makers of the movie, further reports added. It seems that Rana Daggubati will be doing another political drama after his super hit film ‘Nene Raju Nene Manthri.’
Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao was born on 28 May 1923 and expired on 18 January 1996, popularly known as NTR, was an Indian actor, producer, director, editor and politician who served as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for seven years over three terms. NTR received three National Film Awards for co-producing many films. After his career in films, NTR entered politics. He founded the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in 1982 and served three tumultuous terms as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh between 1983 and 1995.
He was known as an advocate of Andhra Pradesh’s distinct cultural identity, distinguishing it from the erstwhile Madras State with which it was often associated. At the national level, he was instrumental in the formation of the National Front, a coalition of non-Congress parties which governed India from 1989 until 1990. It is also known that NTR made Chandrababu Naidu the chief minister after him. The biopic would clarify all the things about senior NTR.
NTR’s son and Tollywood star, Balakrishna aka Balayya will be playing the titular character in the political drama. The movie was initially directed by Teja but he has quit the direction and later Balakrishna himself is busy with the direction work too. The reports are yet to be announced. The movie is being bankrolled by producer Vishnu Induri and is expected to release on Sankranti 2019.
