After wrapping up the shoot for “ Gully boy” directed by Zoya Akhtar, Ranveer Singh is now getting ready for his next film “Simmba” directed by Rohit Shetty. He may join the crew on sets by the end of this month. Intermingling with the media, Ranveer revealed Carrera eyewear’s #DriveYourStory campaign and premiered a short film based on his life’s journey on Wednesday here. Sharing his enthusiasm working for the very first time with Rohit Shetty, who is reflected as the king of the masala genre.
Ranveer said,
“‘Simmba’ is my first collaboration with Rohit Shetty which I know people are really excited about and me more than anyone to be diving into the masala genre with king of the genre. It is an incredible opportunity that I am extremely excited to be commencing… shooting in about a month’s time. I will start prep for that film from tomorrow…” Rohit Shetty wants Ranveer to alter his figure to play the role of police officer. “He is very keen that I have big muscles in the film. He has told me — Jab tu wardi pehenega na to wardi phatni chahiye.”
Ranveer Singh was an outsider for Bollywood industry who made his debut with named ‘ Band Baaja Baaraat made by ‘ Yash Raj Films’. Slowly and steadily he made his place in bollywood by delivering his solid performances in the films like ‘Lootera’, ‘ Dil Dhadakne Do’, ‘ Bajirao Mastani’ and ‘Padmavat’.
Ranveer is going to give a big feast for the fans with his next movie as that he is going to play a rowdy police officer role in the movie “ Simmba ”. The other special thing of this film is the female lead, Sara Ali Khan who is daughter of Saif Ali Khan. This movie is scheduled to hit on the screen on December 28th 2018.
