Reliance JIO has never left any stone unturned in garnering peoples love and respect. Following its surprising free 4G Internet, JIO then announced its launch of free mobiles throughout the country. One has to deposit only Rs 1500 for the three years from the day the mobile phone is handed over.
This 4G enabled phone from Reliance will help the 50 Crores of Indians whose income is just below average, thanks to Ambani for coming out with such back-to-back amusing offers.
The news is on the charts and Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance didn’t end here, he then went further making some astounding deal. This India’s leading company is now all set to start providing free WiFi services to all Indian students. It is believed that over 3 Crores of Indians are studying, pursuing various kinds of degrees.
Now, according to the sources, Jio has already submitted a proposal in this regard to the human resource development (HRD) ministry, the officials are waiting for the response from the Govt authorities.
Meanwhile, in the earlier month, Reliance Jio had made a presentation before the HRD ministry and expressed a desire to connect close to 38,000 colleges, in which both technical and non-technical are included across India by deploying free Wi-Fi connectivity.
A source was quoted saying, “Though they (Reliance) are not charging us any money for this project, we can’t approve it without giving a fair chance to others. A tender will be floated so that it is a fair and transparent process.”
On the whole, if Govt approves this proposal, then this will be another massive blow for the rival telecom operators, and contrarily a boon for many underprivileged students throughout the Country.
