Chennai: The city is to return to normalcy with partial restoration of telecommunication, air and train services after the torrential rains that has been lashing the state over several days. Many roads also becoming fairly motorable even as waterlogging woes continue in several areas.
While the volunteers are working hard to ensure that relief material reaches all the affected areas, the flood relief materials are being looted from the transport vehicles by villagers of Cuddalore district making it very tough for the volunteers.
People from different parts of the country have collected and purchased these materials with so much of efforts for the flood victims. But these villagers who are not affected by floods are blocking the trucks carrying relief materials and looting it.
Here is Facebook video posted by Amirtharaj Stephen showing people looting relief materials from the truck:
We just hope that the Tamil Nadu government and the police will take action against this and see that these relief materials were reached to those who are really in need.
