Jeff Bezos, the boss of Amazon, is the richest man ever, and has set the bar so high that he has created a league of his own.
According to the Billionaire Index of Bloomberg, Bezos, the CEO of Amazon, has become the first person in the world to become worth more than $200 billion.
On August 26, 2020, the stocks of Amazon increased by 2.85 percent to $3,441.85 per share.
This means that Jeff Bezos is now worth around $202 billion.
Jeff Bezos has seen an increase of $87 billion in his net worth because of people heavily relying on Amazon and its services amidst this coronavirus pandemic.
The closes competitor of Jeff Bezos is Bill Gates, the co-founder of Microsoft, who is worth around $124 billion.
Mark Zuckerberg, the creator of Facebook, is currently worth around $115 billion. He is just $9 billion dollars shy of the record Gates holds.
MacKenzie Scott, the ex-wife of Jeff Bezos has also benefited from the increase of Jeff’s net worth.
Because Scott received a quarter of Bezos’ stake in Amazon in part of their huge divorce settlement last year, she reportedly increased her net worth by $2 billion.
She is currently worth around $66.2 billion right now.
