Legislative Assembly Passed Grants Of Rs 3036 Cr For Health, Medical Education

Health and Medical Education Department is granted Rs. 3,036.61 crore by Legislative Assembly today for the current financial year. 23 members participated in this discussion also Bali Bhagat, The Minister for Health and Medical Education sought the support of legislator for improving the health sector in the state.

“Health being the concern of everyone, we must make collective efforts to streamline its working so that the benefits of the facilities reach the common man. Efforts of just the minister are not sufficient in improving the system. The entire House should support fine-tuning of the healthcare system on the ground,” said the minister.

The members are being appreciated for up gradation of health facilities in respective areas. The Government would do justice with every area and make sure that equitable distribution of resource and manpower as per the exact requirement said the government.

“The government has already identified the gaps to improve the facilities and the Centre will be approached for providing necessary funds for plugging those,” said the minister.

“Most of the essential drugs will be available to the patients free of cost in the health institutions and doctors have been instructed to prescribe all available drugs to the patients and the prescriptions would also be put to audit regularly to strictly enforce the policy,” the Health Minister said.

“The details of the drugs and other facilities available in the hospitals will be prominently displayed for the information of the common man,” he added.
