Saina Nehwal Shares Her Post-Surgery Pic, India Prays For Her Speedy Recovery

India is basking on the glory of winning the first-ever badminton silver medal at the Olympics via PV Sindhu but that doesn’t stop the country from shying away from the fact that another shuttler Saina Nehwal is battling pain.

Sania Nehwal underwent a knee surgery at a Mumbai hospital. She is likely to be out of action for four months in a big setback for the badminton star, her father Harvir Singh said on Saturday.

After the surgery, she posted a picture of her operated leg on twitter and master blaster Sachin Tendulkar was quick to wish her speedy recovery.

In such a scenario, the whole of India is praying for the speedy recovery of a champion player who put India’s badminton on the Olympic map by bagging a bronze medal at the 2012 London Olympics.

She had lost in the group stage after suffering a straight-game defeat against Ukraine’s Marija Ulitina in the second match. She later revealed that she had an inflammation on her right knee.
