Sharvin Jeyendran is a 14-year-old, Malaysian-born Tamil boy who lives in the Perth suburb of Butler, Australia. He is now the wonder kid of Australia with an IQ of 168, higher than world-renowned physicist Stephen Hawking. Originally from Malaysia, both his parents are lawyers.
High IQ society Mensa nominated Sharvin as Australia’s smartest kid after his IQ placed him in the top two per cent of intelligent people in the world.
Sharvin told – “It feels great. It means the world to me to have a high IQ. But I still make a lot of friends. I get on with everyone.” Sharvin’s parents never pressured him to read books or study. His mother says he is naturally like this.
“We always encouraged him, we just need to do this. Kids’ brains are like a sponge. They will absorb whatever. Sharvin started walking early and transitioned straight to proper sentences. After moving to Perth, he became fluent in French and topped every subject at school,” said Sharvin’s mother.
But despite being acknowledged as a child prodigy, Sharvin is just like any other schoolboy who enjoys playing piano, swimming and football. Sharvin already has a plan for his future. He wants to be a biological scientist. “I want to be a biological scientist. I want to find a cure for cancer as well. I also want to be a marine biologist to explore the seas. I would like to start a charity for all the poor people of the world,” says the smartest kid Sharvin.
