Here is a CCTV footage that is getting viral where a Shiv Sena youth wing member beating up a shopkeeper with a bamboo stick. The party worker lost his cool after shopkeeper refused to give him 100 Vada Pavs for free. Taking the CCTV footage into consideration, Juhu police registered an FIR and arrested the person.
The accused has been identified as Sunil Mahadik, an office-bearer of the youth wing of Shiv Sena. The incident took place at Trupti Sweet and Farsan Mart on D J Road in suburban Vile Parle (West) on Saturday. The shop-keeper is Chetan Geveriya (28).
Mahadik allegedly called Geveriya on his mobile phone and abused him, and said he must hand over 100 vada pavs immediately to a person he was sending. Geveriya said he must speak to the owner first. Mahadik lost his cool and went to the shop and hit Geveriya with a bamboo stick and threatened to kill him.
Mahadik was arrested and a local court sent him to police custody. The member has been sacked by the party.
