Shoe Hurled At Nawaz Sharif In Lahore

A shoe was thrown at the former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawar Sharif by a religious extremist today in a Madrasa in Lahore.

Just a day before this incident, another religious extremist has blackened Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif’s face with ink while he was addressing his party’s worker’s convention in his hometown in Sialkot, Lahore.

In today’s incident where a shoe was hurled at Nawaz Sharif, he was attending as a chief guest at Jamia Naemia seminary in Ghari Shahu Lahore.

A religious extremist hurled a shoe at him as Mr Sharif was heading towards rostrum to give a speech which hit him on his shoulder and ear.

The student chanted a slogan “Labbaik Ya Rasoolullah” and managed to reach out to Mr Sharif.

The security personnel of Mr Sharif caught the student and his accomplice who was chanting “Labbaik Ya Rasoolullah” and trashed.

The students were later handed over to the police. The police identified the guy who hurled the shoe as Abdul Ghafoor, a former student of the seminary and his accomplice as Sajid.

The religious particles like Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan had held Sharif and his party (PML-N) responsible trying to change a clause related to finality of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) in the constitution.

The guy who threw ink at the Foreign Minister, Faiz Rasool, told the police that he vents out his anger as the PML-N had tried to change the finality of the Prophet in the Constitution.

In yesterday’s incident, Faiz Rasool, who threw ink at the foreign minister, told the police that he vents out his anger because the PML-N had tried to change the finality of the Prophet in the Constitution.

All the mainstream parties like Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf and Pakistan People’s Party have condemned the incident.

PML-N leader and Railway Minister Khwaja Saad Rafique said that those who are afraid of the popularity of PML-N are behind such incidents.
