Hyderabad: The state’s community of farmers have celebrated over the occasion of budget allocation for the fiscal 2018-19 for Agriculture sector. Many of them, distributed sweets for being overjoyed by huge allocation in the budget which was presented on this Thursday. They felt grateful towards Mr. K Chandrashekhar Rao for his kind attention given for the farm sector.
The Telangana State government allocated a total of Rs 15,288 crore for Farm and its related sectors for the fiscal of 2018-19, which can be termed as the highest allocation after the formation of Telangan State. The Rythu Laxmi Scheme, which was assured by the CM KCR, was allocated a whopping Rs. 12,000 crore, giving a delighfull moment for the whole of state’s farmer community.
“It is the only government in the country to allocate a total of Rs 32,000 crore for agriculture in just four years. After completion of loan wavier scheme, the government now wants to distribute investment support to farmers and allocated funds accordingly. This scheme is not limited to a single year as it will continue in the coming years,’ Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy said in an press interview.
The minister further stressed that the Farmers Association’s Coordination Committees and Agriculture Extension Officers should ensure proper utilisation of scheme.
Many farmers and members of FACC belonging to districts of Nalgonda, Mahabubnagar, Adilabad, Nizambad, Karimnagar and other parts of the State performed Palabishekam of Chief Minister and Finance Minister Etela Rajender’s portraits. “We never saw such allocations for the farm sector. It is only the TRS government which has shown interest in developing agriculture and allied sector,” said Agriculture Market Committee Vice-Chairman of Farooqnagar mandal of Rangareddy district, G Venkat Reddy.
In the same way several Ministers Indrakaran Reddy (Endowment), Jupally Krishna Rao (Panchayat Raj and Rural Development) besides Srinivas Reddy and many other legislators took part in the ongoing celebrations held in their respective Assembly constituencies on Friday.
The chairman for FACC Gutha Sukender Reddy congratulted the state government for the allocations given for Farm Sector. He also advised farmers to start planning for the coming season and at the end get the benefits of the Investment Support Scheme.
Farmers community from Madhur village of Nalgonda Mandal specially thanked the CM KCR and expressed that they will not have to approach middlemen for loans in the future. “Besides, the government is also focusing on mechanisation of agriculture sector by giving huge subsides,” V Laxma Reddy, Chairperson, FACC, Rangareddy, said.
The farmers welcomed the Rs 500 allocations for the farmers’ group insurance scheme, “So far, no one in the country thought about farmers’ welfare, but this government is even providing insurance cover without taking a single rupee from the farmers,” he said.
