Police Report: On Thursday, 3 men were arrested after they stabbed a sub-inspector as they were celebrating holi in Rajouri Garden of West Delhi.
The three drunk men have been identified as Angrej Singh, Paras, and Anand Singh, all of the men were drunk when the incident happened.
DCP of West Delhi Monika Bhardwaj said that Sub-Inspector Amit Kumar was assigned at the Nihal Vihar Police Station, he went to the Rajouri Garden with his family members as they were looking for a restaurant.
When Amit was stabbed he was wearing normal clothes and was not on duty.
DCP Monika added that on Thursday morning, a group of men sprayed rangoli on the car of Sub-Inspector Amit.
When Amit asked the men to don’t do it, a quarrel ensued and the 3 men started to beat him up. Before the men left, they stabbed Amit.
Sub-Inspector Amit Kumar was rushed to the Balaji Action Hospital, he had a surgery in the hospital and is now out of danger.
DCP Monika added that three men were arrested hours after the incident happened. But, one man is currently on the run, he has been identified as Mukhi.
A case has been registered against the group of men at the Rajouri Garden Police Station under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. The police are still trying to arrest Mukhi.
