Surgeons in Himachal Pradesh removed 8 spoons, 2 screwdrivers, 2 toothbrushes, 1 kitchen knife, and 1 door latch from a man diagnosed with a psychiatric disorder

Doctors were shocked after doing a surgery on a  35-year-old man, who is diagnosed with a psychiatric disorder, the doctors removed 8 spoons, 2 screwdrivers, 2 toothbrushes, 1 kitchen knife, and 1 door latch from his stomach.

The rare case occurred in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh on Friday.

35-year-old Karn Sen was brought to the hospital earlier this week for having a pimple in his stomach, he was initially brought to a private clinic Sundernagar.

He was then referred to Lal Bahadur Shastri Government Medical College Hospital, which is a government-owned hospital.

Surgeons in the hospital did an x-ray to see what was inside his stomach, and when the results came in, they were shocked as they found out there were several objects present inside his abdomen.

3 surgeons performed the surgery, which removed all the objects from his stomach.

The doctors said that the procedure took them 4 hours.

A doctor from the Lal Bahadur Shastri Government Medical College Hospital said, “After investigation, it was found that some metallic objects were inside his stomach. Our team of surgeon immediately operated upon him. The patient is affected with psychiatric illness.”

35-year-old Karn Sen is currently in a stable condition and is now out of danger, he is currently recovering from the surgery.
