According to the reports at Andhra Pradesh Government, it is said that Income of temples in the state has grown by 27 per cent. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu stated that it seems to ‘growing sins’. “People are committing sins and to get rid of them they are going to temples and offering money,” CM said.
Sale of Liquor has been going down resulting in reduced income to the state. Chandrababu Naidu said that “People are taking Ayyapa Swamy ‘Deeksha’ and are staying far from liquor consumption for 40 days. Hence, the liquor sales are going down.”
Developing the competitive spirit, AP CM said that 2015-16 financial year should be taken as the base year for competition among districts in various development factors. He added ‘our focus should be on balanced growth’ and we all have to make attempts to achieve 80% satisfaction among people. Thus, our work will be appreciated and applauded.
“Andhra Pradesh is just a two-year-old baby (state). Our aim is to become one among the top states by 2022 and number one by 2029. We have a ‘Vision-2050’ by when we aim to become the number one destination for everyone like investments, business, IT sectors and much more. Let us all take responsibility and work together,” CM Chandrababu Naidu quoted.
It is found that there are disparities between districts in different fields like agriculture, industry and services. “If we set this right, the overall growth will improve. We have targeted a growth of 15% in 2016-17 fiscal. Education, health, and individual economic status are key elements in achieving the growth rate,” Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, State Finance Minister said.
The minister asked the officials to concentrate on the above three factors as they are the key sectors of State Income.
