Texas Brother Kills Unwed Pregnant Sister Because She Was An “Embarrassment” To Their Family

A Texas teen was arrested by the police for murdering his pregnant sister because she was an “embarrassment” to their family.

The brother killed his sister in a way that authorities would think it was a suicide.

23-year-old Viridiana Arevalo went missing last week, her boyfriend reported the incident to the police.

The family of Viridiana initially said they found a note that said she left because she wanted to kill herself.

When she went missing, Viridiana was 8 months pregnant.

On Sunday, the authorities found the dead body of Viridiana.

19-year-old Eduardo Arevalo was later arrested by the police and is facing a capital murder charge.

The police said the teen told the detectives that he killed his sister because she was an “embarrassment to their family”.

Eduardo also said that it would be better for the family if she wasn’t there.

Sgt. Aaron Woodard of the Colony Police Department talked about the case in a press conference.

Sgt. Aaron said, “It’s not what our officers and detectives wanted to be dealing with two days before Christmas.”

Eduardo Arevalo, the brother of the victim, admitted that he strangled his sister to death on December 16, 2019.

Eduardo also confessed that he wrote the suicide note the family found.

Eduardo told the investigating officers that he placed the body of Viridiana in the trunk of his car and drove to a remote area of their town.

He ditched the body in the remote area.

The Colony Police Department said, “As the week went on, Eduardo stated that he wanted his family to know where Viri was so he went and picked up her body and brought her back Sunday morning in the early morning hours and dumped her body in the alleyway.”

Eduardo became a suspect after detectives reviewed surveillance video of the alley.

Initially, the police believed that Viridiana went missing on her own will.

The authorities found no foul play in the missing of Viridiana at first.
