Texas Substitute Teacher Arrested And Fired From Job After Brutally Beating A High-School Student

A Texas substitute that was caught on cam brutally assaulting a high-school student at a high-school on Friday has been fired from her job and is currently facing a number of assault charges.

The incident happened at the Lehman High-School in Kyle, Texas, during a foreign language class. The entire incident was captured on a video that went viral on social media.

The video of the teacher beating student shows the substitute teacher punching the sophomore girl, whose identity was not shared with the public, as she lied on the ground.

The teacher also stomped her on her head.

Students inside the classroom later alerted the school officials who later removed the teacher from the class.

After the videos went viral on social media, deputies decided to step in.

The teacher has been identified as 32-year-old Tiffani Lankford. She has been arrested by the police.

The former teacher is now facing a charge of aggravated assault.

She was booked in the Hays County Jail and appeared in court on Saturday morning.

According to Hays County Sheriff’s Deputy Stephen Traeger, Tiffani was read her charges and the bond was set at $10,000.

Lankford was immediately fired from the school.

Principal Karen Zuniga released a statement about the incident, in which she wrote, “Under no circumstances is that behavior tolerated at Lehman High School or in Hays CISD.”

She added, “We take the safety and security of our students seriously. We took swift action when this incident occurred and will do everything necessary to protect our students.

The 32-year-old substitute teacher has been working at Hays CISD since August this year.

The school district said that she had worked in a classroom 17 times before the beating of the student.

Tim Savoy, the spokesperson of the Hays CISD, said, “There is absolutely no excuse or circumstance that can justify what you see unfold on the video.”

Tim added, “It is unconscionable what this adult did to one of our students.”

Teachers and substitute teachers are required to pass a criminal background check before they can secure a job.

The student was rushed to a hospital by her father.

The current condition of the student is still unknown.

Authorities confirmed that the girl is 16-years-old and is a member of the basketball team for the school.

It is also unclear about what caused the violent beating to happen.
