The said incident was captured by a CCTV camera installed inside the house which shows the mother kicking, throwing and slapping the child mercilessly. Another woman then enters and picks up the child to save him from the brutal attack.

Her mother-in-law had reached out to the Delhi Commission for Women on 18th December 2016. That’s when the video footage was handed over to the DCW and a case was registered.
DCW Chief, Swati Maliwal told NewsX, “We’ve given a strong recommendation to register an FIR against the mother and we have also requested them to ensure protection for these three children. The fact is that there are two other children in the home and this seems to be a regular occurrence.”
Upon DCW intervention, FIR filed against mother. DCW got protection order for child from Child Welfare Committee, custody given to aunt. https://t.co/PSQNsmlgOs
