For every common man, Donald Trump might be the mighty US President or a billionaire, but he’s clearly not afraid to resort to thrifty solutions to common problems, just like us. Till now, Trump has been topping the headlines for his controversial statements and policies, earlier, his typical hair color and style was the fun trigger and now, his tweet on Amazon Owner Jeff Bezos.
President Donald Trump on Wednesday criticized Amazon.com on Twitter over taxes and jobs and accused the global retailer, without evidence, of hurting U.S. localities and causing job losses.
Trump tweeted saying, “Amazon is doing great damage to the tax-paying retailers. Towns, cities, and states throughout the U.S. are being hurt – many jobs being lost!”

Trump has criticized Amazon and its owner, Jeff Bezos in the past, claiming Bezos bought The Washington Post to help Amazon. “The Amazon Washington Post fabricated the facts on my ending massive, dangerous, and wasteful payments to Syrian rebels fighting Assad,” Trump tweeted in July.

In another tweet, he said,
“So many stories about me in the @washingtonpost are Fake News. They are as bad as ratings challenged @CNN. The lobbyist for Amazon and taxes?”

Shares of the company fell 0.5% at $978.00 in premarket trade after Trump’s comments. Amazon.com has said that it has more than 50,000 job openings across the United States to help fulfill customer orders and earlier this month hosted multiple job fairs to fill them.
Trump also criticized the link between Bezos, Amazon and The Washington Post while on the campaign trail.
“I have respect for Jeff Bezos, but he bought The Washington Post to have political influence, and I gotta tell you, we have a different country than we used to have. He wants political influence so that Amazon will benefit from it. That’s not right. And believe me, if I become president, oh, do they have problems. They’re going to have such problems,” Trump said during a campaign trail speech.
The latest tweet of Trump for Amazon received criticism from people.

You are doing far more damage to American jobs by simply being president than Amazon ever will.
