Soon after the demise of the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, J Jayalalithaa, a photograph of a woman portraying her as the daughter of Jayalalithaa is going viral in Social media.
The woman, however, carries the facial similarities with the demise Chief Minister, this made people believe that she was the real daughter of Jayalalithaa.
According to the photograph, the woman is wearing a saree with ‘Kumkum’ reflecting the South Indian culture, specifically Tamil Nadu.
Though the rumors were spread throughout all the corners of Social Media, this accelerated following Amma’s death. Meanwhile, the story added proclaims that she is settled in the United States, did her Ph.D. there, residing with her family.
Despite this clueless comments and unauthenticated information, the popular singer Chinmayee took a step forward and shove away the whole rumor with a single picture.
Chinmayee shared the photograph in her facebook profile, captioning that the woman, who earlier claimed as Jaya’s daughter, is Divya Ramanathan, a musician who belongs to the traditional musician’s family of Vidhwan V Balaji.
The photograph shows Divya Ramanathan along with her husband.
After noticing Chinmayee’s post in facebook, the brother-in-law of Divya responded stating that the photograph was clicked in 2016, meanwhile, the earlier photograph of Divya alone was clicked in 2008.
This false claims and rumors are however leaping wings these days, though we can firmly feel that we’re blessed with amazing technology and communication system around, there are always loopholes cornering the center of attraction to false news.
The fine line between truth and rumor is far very invisible nowadays when social media is considered.
