Former England cricketer Andrew Flintoff may just have stuck his hand into a hornet’s nest when he claimed, albeit in jest, on Twitter that he did not recognise Big B Amitabh Bachchan. Soon after team India won the match against Australia, there were loads of reactions from the cricketing experts, cricketers and fans. Former England cricketer Andrew Flintoff & Amitabh Bachchan also tweeted.
Here is a look at the conversation between Bachchan and Flintoff:

Flintoff’s cheeky response, however, might have made him an enemy in the eyes of a billion Indians.
One user, tweeting under the handle “@SirJadeja”, referred to Bachan’s iconic role in the movie “Shahenshah”. He tweeted:
Beta @flintoff11,
“Rishtey Me To Wo Tumhare Baap Lagtey Hain, Naam Hai Shahenshaah”. 😉 @SrBachchan #IndvsAus pic.twitter.com/r4dKZjV2YX

A user, using a parody handle of Kohli, responded to Flintoff’s tweet and wrote:
.@flintoff11 @SrBachchan @imVkohli @root66 @englandcricket
Visit Madame Tussauds, London. You’ll know who’s he.— Virat Kohli (@Bees_Kut) March 27, 2016
Flintoff did not recognize Amitabh Bachchan on twitter . It seems, Maria Sharapova is handling his twitter a/c.

In the end, Flintoff got so traumatized that he tweeted this.
Getting a taste of what it is like to be @piersmorgan ,some abuse flying about ,some people just don’t understand the term “tongue in cheek”
— andrew flintoff (@flintoff11) March 27, 2016
Hope Flintoff learnt his lesson and won’t repeat it again. After all, this tongue-in-cheek reply did cost him a lot.
