Debates in Parliament amongst other things have also witnessed MPs who have fallen asleep during proceedings. The latest to join the bandwagon is none other than our beloved Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was caught catching a quick nap in Lok Sabha on Thursday when Rajnath Singh was delivering a speech on Dr. B. R. Ambedkar on the occasion of ‘Constitution Day’. An image of Modi either contemplating deep or dozing off in the Lok Sabha soon went viral on social media.
The Lok Sabha TV screen grab was no evidence of the PM either catching a nap or concentrating on what Union home Minister Rajnath Singh was saying. But, Twitterati being cruel as usual, jumped at the opportunity. Twitter started buzzing with people tweeting about the prime minister’s extremely probable jet lag! Soon #PMJetlag started trending all over. Here are some of the gems from the online outrage:

Some people also came to his rescue saying that he was reading from something that could not be seen on the camera. Well, whatever it was Twitter had a field day with a variety of memes and jokes circulating on Twitter. By the way, all of us battle this phenomenon. To yawn is human, to not surrender to it is divine.
