Twitterati Slams Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore For Saying ‘No Black Money In Film Industry’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi explained his take on demonetizing saying that the decision is taken to eliminate the black money stricken in the hands’ of terrorists, illegal transactions, and other corruption activities. Despite some political parties, the whole Parliament applauded Modi’s take on black money.

Meanwhile, while speaking at the International Film Festival of India in Goa recently, the Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore backed the film industry saying that there is no black money in film industry “in this age”.

“The film industry has been transacting through cheques and money loaned from banks. We used to earlier hear that the black money is pumped in the film industry.

“I don’t think in this age there is any black money used in the film industry. There will be transparency in the film funding due to which good films will get the support,” Mr. Rathore said talking to the reporters in Panaji.

“It is a team effort when a film is produced. Right from the spot boy to the film star, everyone works. If money is transferred to their account directly then they will get the exact rates, especially for those working at lower rung. The industry will get the support due to demonetization,” he said.

Supporting demonetization, Rathore said that this decision helps in complete eradication of parallel economy that is showing bad impacts on current Indian economy.

There will be an impact of demonetization on terrorism, theft, dacoity, use of drugs, crime rate, everything will be decreased once the economy becomes cashless, everything is interlinked,” he added.

As these statements made by the union minister landed on twitter, the post was flooded with comments. However, most of the netizens ended up slamming the minister by their sarcastic retweets.

Someone responded asking why Aravind Kejriwal hasn’t reacted yet, meanwhile, other said that “saying there is no black money in the film industry was just like saying there is no casting couch either.” One twitter user even quoted him as ‘dumb’.
