Many know that India Prime Minister Narendra Modi has his own set of different and dignified rules when it comes to playing the PM. He is one of the most influential leaders to walk the Earth. He looks cool and calm. He stays first in front when it comes to solving problems of common people.
In a heart-warming incident that took place on August 20, 2016, PM Narendra Modi called up a couple from Uttar Pradesh and named their baby girl ‘Vaibhavi’, in response to a letter that the couple wrote.
Bharat and Vibha were blessed with a daughter on August 13 and on the same day Vibha wrote a letter to PMO office and sent it. The couple had been planning to write a letter to the PM for about 2 months, before the birth of their daughter. They have always wanted a daughter. Vibha wrote to PM Modi and requested him to name their daughter.
Vibha also mentioned in the letter that:
“His (PM Modi) campaign for the girl child has been an inspiration and that two Indian girls had won medals in the Olympics, which is a moment of joy for the country.”
After 7 days, Bharat received a call and it was PM Modi who talked to him for about 2 minutes.
Bharat said: “Modi Ji congratulated me and said to name my daughter as Vaibhavi because it will include letters of both me and my wife’s names.”
PM Modi added: “You will fulfill Vaibhavi’s dreams and Vaibhavi will become your power.”
But no one believed Bharat’s story when he about to tell his village people that they are naming their daughter Vaibhavi because PM Modi suggested the name. Hence, he called up the PMO office again and requested them if they could send him a letter.
Later on August 30, Bharat received a letter signed by PM Modi from PMO. Bharat kept the letter with him for over a month and then decided to share it with people because it is such a positive thing.
Bharat said: “I had kept the letter with me for more than a month. But then I thought I should tell more people about it because this is a very good thing.”
This story is inspiring and teaches us the importance of a girl child. If everyone starts to value daughters as much as this couple, things would become a lot brighter in our country.
