While using micro-blogging sites, we have to be careful. Unknowingly, we might do few mistakes by tagging some other persons instead of whom you want to. Such tags really mean a lot. Social media is a very confused place and mixing up people and knocking the innocent has become a trend of sorts.

On Thursday, Bollywood actor Vinod Khanna passed away and the whole industry was filled with sorrow. Hence, Vinod Khanna’s fans, well-wishers, celebs and everyone took to Twitter to share their condolences to their favorite actor. Few people have tagged wrong Vinod and the wrong Vinod is Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli.

Former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli on Thursday severely hit out at a fan who tagged him in an obituary Twitter post after the death of Vinod Khanna.

Few of the trolls wrongly tagged Vinod Kambli instead of the actor on Twitter. Some of the fans also started paying their tribute to the cricketer. However, as confusion prevailed on the social media, Vinod Kambli began to be tagged in the condolence and tribute posts for the actor, creating an extremely uncomfortable scenario.

Vinod Kambli Gets Tagged Instead Of Vinod Khanna:

Following his tweet, few others also joined the league and mourned on social media for the cricketer and not the actor. After being tagged in so many posts, Kambli severely hit out at the troll for the insensitive act. However, the incident Twitter user was soon schooled as people started pinpointing his mistake and bashing him for not checking the basic facts.

Yes, we all make mistakes. One such mistake of a Twitter user ruined his day. However, the user in question, who goes by the name of ‘chikoo’ seems to have forgotten basic mannerisms as he went on to correct Kambli’s grammar instead of being sorry for his own mistakes!

While this moved the user to delete his message, Vinod Kambli had already been flooded with many RIP messages and unleashed his anger in a Twitter rant.

After making this unpleasant remark to try and gain some more attention, the user posted his apology on the entire episode.

But Vinod Kambli, who had experience in dealing such trolls was quick to block this user and stop his senseless move.

The social media errors keep happening and we often tag wrong people. However, this space is such that people often misunderstand because it is the online era of trolls and sarcasm. Social media has given an open platform for people to express themselves. However, people nowadays are forgetting actually to verify facts before posting about things.

So, next time you tag anyone, you all should be careful when we tweet about sensitive things, especially about someone’s death.
