Twitterati Trolled Virender Sehwag For Comparing Standing In ATM To Soldiers At Borders

After PM Narendra Modi’s Decision of Banning old currency notes of Rs. 500 & Rs. 1000, long queues are visible before the banks, people are cooperating and bank officials are working hard for the nation.

But the PM Modi’s sudden currency ban left the citizens of India shocked and created a lot of chaos among the people. Of course, it has been directed for the larger good of removal of black money income from the country but the fallout has resulted in large scale discomfort for the people of India.

People are still facing problems queuing up in large numbers outside ATMs and Bank branches just so that they can get the limited sums of money withdrawn and exchange the old currency notes of Rs 500 and 1000.

Expressing his views over this, the former India opener Virender Sehwag joined the league of celebrities pitching their support to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision to ban Rs 1000 and 500 notes.

In a tweet, Sehwag has urged people of India to show patience and deal with the issue with restraint. Sehwag cited the example of martyr Hanumanthapa, who died at the border under -45 degrees centigrade.

In a special nationwide televised address yesterday evening in New Delhi, PM Modi said those who are unable to deposit the notes within the deadline for some reasons, can change them till 31st of March next year by furnishing ID proof.

Modi said new currency notes of 500 and 2000 rupees denomination notes to be introduced. Also, further he added that RBI has decided to limit the notes with higher value.

Soon after Sehwag’s tweet, a lot of Indian citizens seem to be unhappy with the move and started disagreeing with him.
