We had seen many reckless driving cases in India and many people die due to carelessness. Due to these reckless drivers, innocent people who walk on roads die for no sake. Despite many cases, only a minor portion of them have resulted into the culprits getting nabbed. This is all due to corruption, many cases have been closed and as a result, there are many absconding criminals.
In a recent incident that took place in Mumbai, a case of a hit-and-run where two children were hit by a speeding Wagon R. The incident happened in Thane on Saturday afternoon.
A 6-year-old, Jiya Kotak was critical condition and another child Parth Kotak has suffered multiple fractures. The children are currently taking treatment in the hospital. A case has been filed and the investigation revealed that the culprit was a school teacher named Dilip Gunjal. He has been arrested by the Thane Police.
Dilip Gunjal claims that he hit the accelerator instead of the brake which resulted in the children being hit down the ground. All this incident was caught on a nearby CCTV camera which shows people rushing to the spot to help the children and Dilip tried to flee the spot, instead of helping the children.

Another possibility was hinted that his driving license was bought instead of being earned. His casual explanation that he hit the accelerator instead of the brake bears testimony to this possibility. If this is the case, then it paints a more serious picture as corrupted people are giving away driving license which amounts to a lot of irresponsible drivers on the road.
Let us pray and hope that the two children get well soon and the culprit is punished for the crime.
